MyMeal places great importance on the protection of your privacy and personal data. Personal data is therefore treated and secured with great care. We use and process your personal data only in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.
WHO PROCESSES THE PERSONAL DATA?
The Application is a service of MyMeal.mobi Services b.v. (hereafter: “MyMeal” or “we”), located at Steffensberg 45, 9431 CX Westerbork. We determine which personal data are collected, and the purpose and means for the processing of these personal data.
MyMeal is free to engage data processors. We rely on the following categories of processors to offer you our services: web development agency, marketing agency, hosting companies, CRM, ERP, external payment service providers, government agencies, subcontractors, and employees. A data processor is obligated to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data. The processor always acts according to our instructions.
If you enter into an agreement via the MyMeal application with one of our partners, these partners are themselves responsible for processing your personal data, and we refer you to their own privacy policies. Examples of our partners include restaurants, supermarkets, or our payment partners. Personal data is not sold to third parties.
WHICH PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED?
MyMeal commits to only collect and process data that is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. The following personal data is collected by us when you place an order:
- Your first and/or last name
- Address details
- Your activities on our Application
- Your specified location when searching via the app
- Email address
- Phone number
- Technical data, such as IP address and browser
- Payment details
If you create an account, you also have the option to add more data, and in addition to the above data, we also collect the following data:
- Username, Profile photo, Interests & preferences, Information from social media, if logged in, Public messages or media posted by you.
Except for your username and profile photo, personal data will never be published online without your consent and will be visible to others.
When you contact our Customer Service department, we use the data you provide to answer your question or resolve your complaint. We process the following data for customer service:
- Address details (if applicable)
- Contact details
- Payment details (if applicable)
- Comments (if applicable)
Customer Satisfaction Surveys
To ensure that our services match your preferences and those of our customers, any data you provide to our customer service may be used for things like customer satisfaction surveys. We process the following data for customer satisfaction surveys:
- Email address
- Ordered items (reviews can only be written after ordering)
We process your data to send you (personalized) marketing messages and notifications. If you want to adjust your preferences regarding receiving these messages and notifications, you can unsubscribe using the link in the relevant message. For the marketing push messages, you can unsubscribe through the settings in the Feed Me app.
We process the following data for marketing purposes:
- Contact details
- Taste preference
- Order history
FOR WHAT PURPOSES ARE MY PERSONAL DATA USED?
We collect your personal data to offer you a safe, optimal, and personal user experience as a User of our Application. The collection of personal data becomes more extensive as you use the Application and our online services more intensively. You will also receive personalized marketing, advertising, and newsletters from us if you have expressly agreed to this. In that case, you are always free to withdraw your consent.
The processing is solely for the purpose of offering and improving the Application. We also analyze your behavior on our Application to better align the offer of products and services with your preferences.
When visiting the Application, data is also collected for statistical purposes. Such data is necessary to optimize the use of our Platform and deliver a high-quality service.
MyMeal does everything possible to ensure the digital safety of your personal data. To ensure that unauthorized persons do not have access to your data and that it is not used unlawfully or made public, MyMeal uses various security techniques and procedures.
When we process your data, you have the right to submit various requests. You have the right to request access to your data, rectification, deletion of your personal data, limitation and objection to the processing, data portability, and the withdrawal of your consent. If you have created an account, you can exercise some of these rights within your own account. If that is not possible, you can submit a request via [email protected]. We will respond to the request within one (1) month.
Right to access and rectify: You have the right to obtain information about the processing purposes, the categories of personal data processed, and the recipients of the personal data.
Right to delete your personal data: You can only claim the right to delete your data when: Your personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or processed; You withdraw your consent and no other legal basis exists for the processing; An objection is made to the processing, and no overriding compelling legitimate grounds for the processing exist; When the
personal data has been processed unlawfully.
Right to restriction of processing: This can be exercised if the accuracy of the personal data is contested, the processing is unlawful, and the user opposes the deletion of the personal data and requests restriction of its use instead.
Right to data portability: You have the right to receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
Right to object to the processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data, based on our legitimate interests. MyMeal will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing.
DURATION OF DATA PROCESSING
We keep your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data was collected. The data is deleted from our database as soon as they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or used. Your data will be kept for a longer period of time to fulfill our legal obligations.
When you use our Application, various data, including your personal data, can be stored on your device in the form of “cookies.” Cookies are small pieces of data or text files that the website or its service provider transfers to your device’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow it). This allows the website’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
Cookies allow us to remember the preferences of our visitors, such as language choice, to provide a personalized user experience on subsequent visits to the Application. Cookies also allow us to collect data about how our Application is used, so we can improve its functionality and content.
We use both functional and non-functional cookies:
